Wildflower Meadow Collection

This collection of original fused glass artworks is inspired by a love of nature and colour, and features silhouetted flower meadow and floral designs on coloured backgrounds. Choose between vibrant yellow and orange sunrise/ sunset colours, or calming shades of pale blue and turquoise. We love how the same designs look so different depending on the colours behind them.

Fused glass flower suncatchers measure 15cm x 10cm, with the exception of the Poppy style which measures 20cm x 5cm. Copper hooks fused into the pieces allow them to be hung from walls or windows by coloured ribbon.

Freestanding dandelion curves are 14cm high and 5cm deep. They are originally made flat, and then returned to the kiln to be slumped over a mold. Both styles are extremely popular, with customers usually being drawn immediately to either one colourway or the other. Which is your favourite?

Each Wildflower Meadow artwork is created by screen-printing the floral design onto clear glass, and firing this over a second piece of glass onto which a blend of fine glass powder has been sifted. The kiln-firing process changes the hues of the glass powders to bring out deeper shades. This type of colourful glass craft is different from traditional stained glass in that it is not necessary to solder individual pieces of glass within copper or lead frameworks. This allows the full depth of colour to shine through, especially when pieces are placed in front of windows or against a white wall.
